Non-Welded Piping

Advanced Non-Welded Piping Technology

Tube-Mac® utilizes technologically advanced non-welded 37° flare and retain ring flanges and PYPLOK® connectors as a more cost effective alternative to welded piping systems. Using a portable, hand-held installation tool, couplings are cold worked and permanently compressed onto the piping, thus forming a permanent leak tight seal.

37º Flare Flange

The flange is slipped onto the pipe before flaring. After flaring, the cone is located into the pipe. Bolting the flanges together draws the flared pipes and cones in contact with each other providing a leak-free connection.

Retain Ring Flange

After machining, the flange is slipped onto the pipe and a retain ring is sprung over the pipe’s outside diameter nesting in the annular groove.

PYPLOK Connectors

Using a portable, hand-held installation tool, couplings are cold worked and permanently compressed onto the piping, thus forming a permanent leak-tight seal. There are three seals: a metal-to-metal seal, an inner o-ring seal and an outer o-ring seal. The outer o-ring seal prevents outside contaminants from entering the system.

TMI® Non-Welded vs. Welded Piping Systems

  • No special skilled labor required to flare the pipe
  • Create non-welded connections in seconds compared to hours for a welded joint
  • Field bent pipe 90 and 45 degrees reduced component cost
  • Field bending creates less pressure drop, which equals horsepower savings
  • No special permits required
  • TMI® non-welded Flanged joints make it easy to add or change components
  • TMI® non-welded connections are stress-free and leak free
