Full service location to offer hoses, couplings, and fittings for hydraulic, pneumatic, industrial and mobile applications – The first in Macomb County.

Farmington Hills, MI – July 1, 2014 – Exotic Automation and Supply, one of the largest Parker Hannifin distributors in the Midwest, is opening a Parker Branch location in Shelby Township, MI. It will be the company’s eighth location in Michigan and first in Macomb County.

Located at 12798 23 Mile Road near Schoenherr Road, it is strategically located near M-59 and M-53. It was important for many of the company’s customers to be easily accessible from the I-94 and 23 Mile Road interchange in New Baltimore.

“As the regional economy continues to improve, Macomb County’s traditional strengths of manufacturing and construction are booming once again,” said Steve Orlando, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “The Shelby Township location will serve our growing customer base in north Macomb County and throughout the north east side. We will be opening a second location to serve south Macomb County from Warren, MI by the end of 2014.”

The 3,800 square feet facility will be a full service Parker retail outlet. Many custom hose assemblies for mobile equipment and manufacturing facilities will be made while customers wait or available for pick-up when ordered in advance.

Inventory will be dedicated to serve the specific needs of the customer base in the area. Additional services will include tube bending, flaring, and high pressure testing. An on-site Technical Training Center will offer comprehensive education on the products and services offered by Exotic.

As many of Michigan’s commercial fleet businesses have begun to convert their mobile equipment to CNG and LPG fuel systems, Exotic Automation & Supply has become a key distributor in alternative fuel systems and components. The company is a Parker Hannifin “Center of Excellence” ensuring certified alternative fuel hose assemblies are available for both the vehicle integrators as well as the fleet managers.

“Another aspect of our Shelby Township Parker Branch location is the expansion of our 24/7 mobile hydraulic service trucks. That means we can send the right part with a skilled technician to make emergency repairs at our customers’ worksites or their plants,” Orlando added.

The Shelby Township Parker Store is scheduled to open early August 2014 with a Grand Opening celebration scheduled for September.
