An automotive engineering firm was tasked to redesign an SUV into a futuristic concept for the annual automotive show. Gull wing doors were part of the concept which required 2 gas springs as a lift assist on each door. At the time, the “concept” was still changing so the weight, COG and pivot points of the doors were not final. The vehicle had to ship in 3 weeks, so an immediate solution was necessary.
